Went to oral surgeon this morning. He tells me an old root canal has broken off in my lower jaw and extensive surgery is required to get it out. The rest of the bad news is that my insurance does not cover anesthesia which will be required. So I have to raise the cash before I show up for the surgery on June 25. I have a good job coming up so I can cover the added expense. But I think it strange that it is not covered. I said I would be willing to undergo the procedure with a local but the doctor didn't go for that.
The wonderful injections that I am getting in my knees to reduce pain has changed my life. I know it is only temporary relief but it is wonderful to go up and down the stairs without wincing. The cracking and grinding sounds the knees make can be distracting. But the pain has been so greatly reduced that I am often over confident.
My bottle of ink arrived today. I need it for my grandmother's old pen. I also got a beautiful new journal with a dark red cover embossed with Japanese floral design. It made me feel abundantly rich to smell the paper and touch the flowers.

I am considering a new project composed of driftwood. A large art piece that will require several interested recruits. I think it will be late in the year when I get my legs working again. Onward!
