Yesterday I went out to complete all the errands I'd been saving so I could save gas by making one trip to Grand Rapids. I was modestly successful but wore myself out and had to take two pain pills when I got home. After a brief nap I was ready to knock myself out again.
I stopped at K-mart and got a coffee maker for the henhouse. Went out to Wal-mart looking for shepherd stick poles to hold feeders outside window. Nothing was purchased there. At Target I got a gate for the door as Mr C runs out every time it opens. He is supposed to be on a leash when he is not confined to this unit. So we now reside in a gated unit. Went to credit union to cash small check and get my balances. Then to library to return books and check out the Friends Book Store. Got 3 books for Cedar and 4 for me. Stopped at Thrift Shop to drop off s a few bags of useful items and purchased a couple more books and a few videos.
Found a lovely photo in my e-mail and must share. It is Ann and her brother Bob.

The postal service delivered a package from the daughter of a dear friend. Inside was an old and well-used bible. It had belonged to her mother, Dana. She sent it to me in honor of our long and special friendship. The print is not large but I can read it... for now. It brings Dana back... she is in the room now. She had a smile that started in her eyes and spread all the way to her toe nails. Really... it was something to see. Even her hair smiled.
