Gloria was in need of soil for her African corn plant. I happen to know where there is a pile of black dirt that no one has been using. So we got a shovel and I pushed the wheel barrow across the hospital parking area. It was grown over pretty bad so I had some hard digging but I was able to get enough dirt to fill the pot and home we went happy as two old shoes.
She couldn't dig because both her knees are swelled up and look like rose balloons stuck to her legs. I gave her my rice bag yesterday and she said it brought her great relief. She is going to collect white rice from food shelf so I can make another one. Surely no one could object since the rice would be put to a useful purpose.
I have decided to send the new knees a message of introduction and make them welcome in my life. I will greet them with grace and joy. These old knees have carried me to many fabulous places. They have been good and loyal friends. When I said, "We will go to the mountains." They did not decline.
I probably will not make great demands of the new knees but I do expect them to carry me away from the rather restricted life I have been living. A life without mountains... oh, God! how shall I endure?

Ii see mountains in your future.
